After initially standing firm on its implementation of the hotwording module and proprietary Google extension being automatically downloaded in new installations of the Chromium open source browser, a wave of criticism has led to the team pulling it out of Chromium 45 and onwards. But this one is a huge difference in functionality.Update: What’s that? Oh, just the smell of change. I don't notice most changes, and wouldn't know about them if not for being told about them. We're all different, but like I said - it was the reason I got the extension in the first place. (20 right now, and only because I just closed something a few minutes ago.) I like that the chat windows are snuggled in on the bottom of the desktop and the headings turn green and shift up so you know when someone has commented in the chat. It allowed me to have multiple chats going at the same time without having to close one to get to the other, and it allowed me to get out of my email, which wastes a tab when I've already got, at minimum, 18 tabs/windows of stuff up and running. I like the functionality - it's why I got the extension in the first place. It's fine if I can still pop the conversations out and have them lined up along the bottom, but for me, if I'm on chats, I'm also in my browser, so it's not doing me any harm by having to have the browser open to run it. I have too many conversations going at once, and too many other windows/tabs open to even want to sift through them to find the one I need.
